I'm a poet and children's author and have been writing fiction since 2004. My work for children has been published in Chicken Soup for the Child's Soul (HCL 2007), Stories for Children, Highlights for Children, and Words & Other Wild Things, a poetry book distributed to children's hospitals in Indiana. I'm the literary judge form my local elementary school's Reflection Contest.

Since April 2008, my poetry has been published in several newspapers and journals including anderbo, Bitter Oleander, Fairfax Connection, and U.S. 1 Worksheets. My debut poetry chapbook -- Pacing the Moon -- is available from Flutter Press. My second chapbook, Lot for Sale. No Pigs, is available from BatCat Press here!

I am a 2008 nominee for Best of the Net and won Honorable Mention in Robert Lee Brewer's 2008 Poetic Asides Chapbook Contest.

Prior to writing fiction, I lived in the village of Holm in northern Germany for a time.  Little farms were integrated in the village. I enjoyed hearing the cows mooing, walking to the bakery, and riding bikes by the Elbe River!

I trained as a classical ballet dancer and danced with the West Jersey Ballet Company, have a BFA in dance from Florida State University, and taught and choreographed for several years, as well as led the liturgical dancers at Truro Anglican Church. Some of my other interests are pictured along the side.

I live in northern Virginia with my husband, three adorable cats, and a black Lab.
